by Ann Kjellberg. The two wars crowding our horizon have also roiled the realms of expression and ideas in ways that feel particularly intimate and painful
I was at Bard for Nathan Thrall's talk & book launch and was impressed with him, the students, and the heated but respectful discussion. There has been so much to try to process since October 7th and I'm still shocked when you list all of these events. (and it's only Part One).Thank you for doing this grim but necessary accounting for all of us.
This is so interesting to hear! I think the situation among students is much more subtle and various than the feverish reports let on. I was anxious taking this on, I find it all personally so painful, it is a relief that my beloved readers find it helpful in the end!

Wow, putting this altogether is mind blowing. What are people thinking? This is all so tragic, alarming, and terribly sad. Thank you for this.
Thank you so much! Relieved that I found a way to be useful a little amidst the horrors. Thank you for writing and cheering me on for part two!
Yes, you go girl! Say it like it is. ❤️
What a sad litany. A needed one, though.
Thank you so much, dear reader. With you all behind me I plunge ahead to #2...
